Doctoral Colloquium

Doctoral colloquium was first held three years ago, as a side-event to the Congress, and from the very start all the participants - doctoral students, their mentors and other participating academics agreed on this segment of Congress being a resounding success. It is for that reason that we are very pleased to announce the continuation of this project at 25th CROMAR Congress.

Doctoral colloquium is open to doctoral/post-graduate students focusing on research in marketing and other tangential areas. All topics and methodological approaches are welcome and students at different stages of their research can apply for participation. Participating students will be given an opportunity to discuss their work with each other and experienced researchers and hear firsthand about common challenges and problems facing young researches in their efforts to get their work published.

Doctoral colloquium will be held on the second day of the Congress (9th June 2017). The moderators for doctoral colloquium will be Ph. D.  Selma Kadic-Maglajlic, Faculty of Economics, Sarajevo and Ph. D. Maja Arslanagic-Kalajdzic, Faculty of Economics, Sarajevo.

In order to participate, doctoral students are required to send an extended abstract of their dissertation/research proposal (depending on the stage of completion of their research) and completed application form. Registration form (the same as for the other participants) and the  abstract template are available for download on this conference webpage.

Please note that extended abstract and presentations should be prepared in croatian language. Abstract should be submitted by 15th April 2017. Applicants will be noted about acceptance into colloquium by 1st May, 2017.

In order to provide an optimal experience for all the participants of the Colloquium, number of available places is limited to 20, with priority being given to candidates providing best extended abstracts. Criteria used for evaluation of extended abstract will include: degree of innovativeness, creativity and insight exhibited by the author, importance of the topic to the field of marketing as well as quality of the writing.
