GRADUATE UNIVERSITY STUDY PROGRAMME
APPLIED / BUSINESS COMPUTING

  • ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

    ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

This programme enables students to gain knowledge in the field of applied and business computing. Our new curriculum, aligned with other related institutions of higher education (especially those in the EU), follows recent trends in computer technology development. Students become familiar with the methodologies and standards of software development, design and building of computer systems, computer networking and use of computers in various economic activities.  A big selection of elective courses enables students to tailor the acquired knowledge to their interests and needs.

Practical work, without which this programme would be hard to imagine, includes introducing students to operation systems, programming languages and tools, databases and software applications.

  • PROGRAMME DURATION

    PROGRAMME DURATION

The graduate university study programme in Applied / Business Computing lasts two years or four semesters (120 ECTS credits).

  • DEGREE AWARDED

    DEGREE AWARDED

Upon the completion of the graduate programme, students are awarded the academic degree of a Master of Engineering in Computing (mag. ing. comp.).

  • JOB OPPORTUNITIES

    JOB OPPORTUNITIES

This programme has been aligned with the trends in computer technology development and with labour market requirements. By choosing their desired elective courses, students can specialise in business computing, computer technology implementation in autonomous and intelligent systems or computer networks and communications.

According to available research, Croatia as well as other countries are still missing experts with high quality education in computing and information technologies, without whom the economy itself can hardly reach the needed level of competitiveness. For example, according to the estimate of the European Commission, there will be a shortage of 800,000 ICT experts at the EU level in 2020.
