UNDERGRADUATE UNIVERSITY STUDY PROGRAMME
BUSINESS ECONOMICS

SPECIALISATION: MARKETING

  • ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

    ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The curriculum of the study programme in Marketing has been designed with the aim to equip students for high-quality market communications so that products/services find their way to customers and so that a business enterprise or a destination can be successfully valued and achieve a better market position than its competition. The focus is on gaining knowledge about one’s own possibilities in terms of internal and external environment and to recognize advancing threats as well as make use of the opportunities arising out from the trends in the environment. Business environment is comprised of stakeholders with which one is in direct market communication, including the PEST environment (economic trends, social and cultural impacts, political and legislation impacts, new technologies, competition, etc.) and internal environment of a firm (organisational resources, organisational structure and organisational culture). Marketing communications will be successful if they are based on market segmentation (geographical, demographical, interest segmentation, etc.), whereby the orientation on a target segment is based on the marketing mix. By attending this programme, students will get a specific education through a balance among knowledge, skills and competences connected with new marketing trends.
