The University Council of the University of Dubrovnik is the supervisory body of the University and its constituent units, ensuring the legality of operations and the rational use of material and human resources.
The University Council consists of a President and four (4) members, two (2) of whom are appointed by the Senate of the University of Dubrovnik and two (2) by the University’s founder.
The President of the University Council is elected by the members of the Council based on a Public Call.
A person eligible for the position of the President or a member of the University Council must have at least completed an undergraduate and graduate university programme or an integrated undergraduate and graduate university programme.
A member of the University Council appointed by the founder, as well as the President of the University Council, cannot be a state official, a member of the National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development, a Ministry of Science, Education and Youth official, or an employee or associate of the University of Dubrovnik.
The mandate of the President and members of the University Council is six years. The same person can be re-elected as the President only once.
