    JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Students will be able to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge they have acquired by working in media companies, enterprises, marketing and PR agencies, state institutions, government and non-governmental organizations, scientific and educational institutions and in all other sectors where public communication is important.

Croatian media environment and economy show a noticeable deficit in this kind of professionals. The educational structure of Croatian journalists and media experts confirms the thesis that Croatia lacks in precisely this type of professionals who have expert knowledge and who are able to notice media development trends, understand social context and to skilfully implement their professional knowledge founded on modern media science. The plan and curriculum of this graduate programme is therefore designed to meet the needs of this profession and of the public as well as to offer to students a curriculum similar to those offered by graduate media studies around the world.

    WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

This programme offers various professional workshops as its integral part. This means that, besides their regular education in the compulsory courses on general and expert topics relating to scientific theory and disciplines, students have the opportunity to spend a considerable amount of time in workshops. There they are able to gain and practice the basic skills of their future profession so that they can be successful in it.

Radio, TV and journalistic workshops are to be especially highlighted, which include University media (Undu radio, Unidu TV, Punkt magazine). Students of the undergraduate programme and students of both graduate programmes of the Department of Communication Studies take an active part in creating and editing their content.
