ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The programme in Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies for Maritime Industry is intended for those who are interested in acquiring the knowledge and skills in the following areas:
• Electrical engineering / electronics
• Power engineering
• Automated control and regulation
• Communication and information technologies used on modern ships, marine and land facilities.By attending theoretical and practical classes, students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to work in the companies dealing with marine traffic technology, coast guard work organization and in the companies dealing with the development, installing and maintenance of electrical engineering, electronic, communication and navigation systems as well as systems for automated process control, both at marine and land facilities.
By their combination of elective and compulsory courses during their study, students get specialised in their particular area of interest.

The undergraduate university study programme in Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies for Maritime Industry lasts three years or six semesters (180 ECTS credits).

Upon the completion of this undergraduate programme, students are awarded the academic degree of a Bachelor (Baccalaureus) of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies for Maritime Industry (univ. bacc. ing. el.).
