The Maritime Department of the University of Dubrovnik participated in the 23rd conference of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU), which was held in Finland from 18 to 20 October 2023 on board the Silja  Serenade, which operated between Helsinki and Stockholm. Head of the Maritime Department, Srđan Vujičić, Assistant Professor, representing the University of Dubrovnik, attended the President Forum and Plenary Session of the IAMU Annual General Assembly 2023 on 18 October, where he was presented with a membership plaque by Adam Weintrit, Chair of IAMU. In addition to the official meetings, professor Vujičić participated in the closed sessions of the IAMU Working Group to prepare the revised edition of the Global Maritime Professional Body of Knowledge 2019 (GMP BoK), a guideline to harmonise seafarer education at the global level in line with trends in the maritime industry. He also presented the paper The factors affecting the cruise ship evacuation efficiency.
