University of Dubrovnik’s research centre CREDO took part in the Kick-off Meeting of NICHE 2 – Nurturing Intangible Cultural Heritage for Entrepreneurship, a new Erasmus Plus project under the Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training (KA220-VET)
NICHE 2 Project aims to provide innovative training to ICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage) operators to promote the sustainable growth of ICH sector by equipping them with skills identified by the official the European Sustainability Competence Framework and ease the twin transition (green + digital) of the sector as a whole
NICHE 2 has 7 partners from 6 countries: Croatia, France, Iceland, Italy, Belgium, Spain.
The general objectives of the project are to:
- Contribute to the competitiveness and growth of the ICH sector through the development of an innovative professional profile that embeds environmental and green skills
- Strengthen the competences of ICH professionals and entrepreneurs through the development of innovative training courses on green and sustainability knowledge, competences and skills based on the GreenComp Framework
The target groups are:
- Professionals, who hold positions either temporary or permanent, in Intangible Cultural Heritage
- Employees and various statutes of workers contributing to the Heritage Workforce
- People who can leverage ICH to develop their own business idea and entrepreneurial venture
- Professionals of ICH operating in civil society organizations, such as local associations and NGOs
- VET professionals and VET organisations (formal, non formal, informal)
