On July 9, 2025, University of Dubrovnik hosted a guest lecture by distinguished international expert Prof. Dr. Tugrul Daim from Portland State University (USA), titled Technology and Innovation Management: Research and Publication Trends. The lecture took place at the Ćira Carića venue.

Professor Daim is a full professor in the Department of Engineering and Technology Management at Portland State University, where he also serves as the director of the doctoral program in Technology Management. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious journal IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.

In his lecture, Prof. Daim presented current research and global trends in the fields of technology and innovation management, with a focus on technology forecasting, roadmapping, and strategies for publishing in high-impact academic journals. The session was especially valuable for researchers, doctoral students, and professionals engaged in innovation, research management, and knowledge transfer.

Prof. Daim leads the Technology Evaluations and Research Applications group, where he has supervised over 20 PhD students and is currently advising more than 15. In the past decade, his group has welcomed numerous visiting scholars from around the world. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, more than 20 books and special issues, and has been cited over 22,000 times.
