The Department of Applied Ecology at the University of Dubrovnik began implementing the project ‘Development support of blue biorefinery in the Adriatic Sea’ (BIOBASED) six months ago. In this newsletter, we bring you an update on the events during this period.

The BIOBASED project will be active in the period from April 1st 2024 till September 30th 2026, and is conducted under the INTERREG Italy-Croatia Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2021/2027. The project, valued at €1,260,246.26, involves five partners. The lead partner is the University of Foggia, and collaborators include the National Research Council and the Mediterranean Aquaculture Association from Italy, as well as the Entrepreneurship Center and the University of Dubrovnik from Croatia.
