On June 17 and 18, the University of Dubrovnik hosted Prof. Dr. Metin Kozak from Kadir Has University, School of Communication (Turkey), a distinguished scholar and editor of the international journal Anatolia, published by the renowned publishing house Taylor & Francis.

During his visit, on June 17, Prof. Kozak held a workshop titled “How to Publish in Scholarly Journals: Challenges and Prospects for the Future”, intended for academic staff, with a special focus on teaching assistants and early-career researchers. In his interactive presentation, he shared experiences and practical advice on publishing in academic journals, emphasizing the challenges faced by young scholars and highlighting current and future trends in academic publishing.

The following day, June 18, Prof. Kozak met with the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Public Relations and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mato Brautović, and the Dean of the Department of Communication and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Romana John. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for enhanced institutional cooperation between the University of Dubrovnik and Kadir Has University, particularly in relation to joint applications for the Erasmus Mundus programme and the development of a joint master’s programme in the field of communication studies.

Prof. Kozak’s visit represents an important step forward in strengthening the University of Dubrovnik’s international cooperation and developing joint scientific and educational initiatives.
