The Faculty of Maritime Studies participates in a project focused on collecting data on graduate employment

The Faculty of Maritime Studies of the University of Dubrovnik has started the implementation of the project “IAMU framework for collection of information on graduate employment” as part of the IAMU Organizational Development Project. The total value of the project is €30.000, the lead partner is the Dalian Maritime University, and the cooperating institutions are the University of Dubrovnik and Australian Maritime University/University of Tasmania. The project will be implemented in the period from 1 May 2024 to 31 March 2025.

The main objective of this project is to develop a mechanism with a set of methods for the collection of information on graduate employment applicable to IAMU member universities. The expected outcomes are to analyze the current situation of collecting graduate employment information in IAMU member universities; to establish a complete set of statistical indicators on graduate employment, including employment rate, employment satisfaction, career development prospects etc.; to establish a coordination mechanism for the collection of information on graduate employment in IAMU member universities.

The results of this project will help member universities to identify the supply and demand situation in the market. The statistical results of graduate employment data can also reflect the problems that exist in the curriculum, which is beneficial for IAMU member universities to make timely adjustments.
