Životopis:
Ivona Zakarija je docentica na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i primijenjenog računarstva (FEPR) Sveučilišta u Dubrovniku. Diplomirala je (1993.), magistrirala (2011.) i doktorirala (2020.) na Sveučilištu u Zagrebu Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva (FER).
Tijekom svoje karijere 15 godina radila je u različitim tvrtkama („ITI Computers“ , "Nivel", „Laus CC“), gdje je stekla višegodišnje iskustvo rada u privatnom sektoru na implementaciji programskih rješenja u raznim poslovnim domenama. U okviru Sveučilišta u Zagrebu od 2024. godine sudjeluje kao nositelj u izvođenju nastave na doktorskom studiju FER-a. U sklopu Erasmus+ projekta kao gostujući predavač boravila je na Universidad de Politecnica de Valencia u Španjolskoj. Kao istraživač sudjelovala je na više znanstvenih i stručnih projekata na Sveučilištu u Dubrovniku, uključujući i ERASMUS+ KA2 projekt „Play to Green“. Objavila je brojne znanstvene radove u relevantnim časopisima i zbornicima konferencija. Područja njenog znanstvenog i stručnog interesa su projektiranje i izgradnja informacijskih sustava, duboko učenje, umjetna inteligencija, podatkovna znanost i dubinska analiza procesa. Udana je i majka dvije kćeri.
Doc. dr. sc. Ivona Zakarija član je strukovnih udruga IEEE i ACM (2009.-2020.). Aktivno sudjeluje u međunarodnim programskim odborima znanstvenih konferencija, te je djelovala kao recenzent u inozemnim časopisima.

Biography/CV:
Ivona Zakarija is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Applied Computing (FEPR) at the University of Dubrovnik. She received her B. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1993, 2011 and 2020 respectively.
During her professional career, she worked for 15 years in various companies ("ITI Computers", "Nivel", "Laus CC"), where she gained extensive work experience in the private sector implementing software solutions in various business areas. At the University of Zagreb, he has been involved in the FER doctoral program as a lecturer since 2024. As part of the Erasmus+ project, she was a visiting lecturer at the Universidad de Politecnica de Valencia in Spain. As a researcher, she participated in several scientific and professional projects at the University of Dubrovnik, including the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Play to Green". She has published numerous publications in relevant journals and conference proceedings. Her scientific and professional interests lie in the fields of design and building information systems, deep learning, artificial intelligence, data science and process mining. She is married and the mother of two daughters.
Asst. Prof. Ivona Zakarija is a member of the professional associations IEEE and ACM (2009-2020). She actively participates in international program committees of scientific conferences and serves as a reviewer in international journals.
