Životopis:
Mario Miličević rodio se 1961.god. godine u Dubrovniku, gdje je pohađao osnovnu i srednju školu (Matematičko – informativno usmjerenje). Elektrotehnički fakultet u Zagrebu upisao je 1979.g., a diplomirao je u prosincu 1983.g.
Od 1995.g. Mario Miličević je vanjski suradnik Pomorskog fakulteta u Dubrovniku (kasnije Veleučilište u Dubrovniku) na kolegijima iz područja računarstva. Od godine 2000. stalno je zaposlen na Veleučilištu u Dubrovniku (kasnije Sveučilište u Dubrovniku). Od 1995. do danas bavi se znanstvenim istraživanjima u području Tehničkih znanosti, polje Računarstvo. Magistrirao je na Fakultetu za elektrotehniku i računarstvo u Zagrebu 2004.god. radnjom "Automatizacija izgradnje i održavanje skladišta podataka " (mentor prof.dr.sc.Vedran Mornar). Doktorirao je 2008.god. na Fakultetu za elektrotehniku i računarstvo u Zagrebu obranivši radnju "Metoda predviđanja vremena odziva SQL upita za upravljanje razinom usluga" (mentorica prof.dr.sc.Mirta Baranović).
Angažiran je u nastavi na kolegijima na preddiplomskom i diplomskom studijima, iz područja programiranja, baza i skladišta podataka, strojnog učenja i znanosti o podacima. Bio je mentor tijekom izrade više od 30 završnih i diplomskih radova. Njegovi istraživački interesi uključuju baze podataka, skladišta podataka i primijenjeno strojno učenje. Objavio je više od 30 radova u časopisima i na konferencijama.

Biography/CV:
Mario Miličević received his PhD degree in the field of computer science at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. Currently, he is an associate professor at the University of Dubrovnik, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computing. He teaches programming, database and machine learning related courses at undergraduate and graduate level, and he mentored more than 30 graduation theses. His research interests include databases, data warehouses and applied machine learning. He published more than 30 journal and conference papers.
