Assistant Professor Maro Ćorak, in cooperation with teachers of the Faculty of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (Joško Parunov and Antonio Mikulić) and the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split (Marko Katalinić) within the MODUS scientific project, published the scientific paper ‘Uncertainties of wave data collected from different sources in the Adriatic Sea and consequences on the design of marine structures’ in the Q1 journal Ocean Engineering.

This paper analyses wave data in several different data bases and their consequences on the stress of marine structures in the Adriatic Sea. Considering the location, manner and frequency of collection, different wave data sources represent one of the main uncertainties in modelling vessel stress and, as such, these data sources are in the focus of the scientific-research project MODUS.
