Stanford University published its traditional list of the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists, based on the world’s largest scientific database, Scopus Elsevier. This year’s list includes 100,000 scientists from 22 fields and 174 scientific branches.
Among the most influential scientists in 2023, there are 116 scientists from Croatia, and for the first time, a scientist from the University of Dubrovnik has been included on the list— the newly elected rector and professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Stojčić.
‘This recognition is not only a personal success but also a success for the University of Dubrovnik, which continues to position itself as an important center for scientific research and innovation’, said the current rector, Prof. Dr. Nikša Burum.
Prof. Stojčić collaborates with numerous international researchers and institutions and leads projects of exceptional significance for economic and social development. The results of his research have often been included in the scientific literature recommendations for policymakers in the field of research and innovation of the European Commission.
