The project proposal of the University of Dubrovnik within the Call for Proposals for the Erasmus+ Programme – Key Action 1 for Higher Education – KA171 (Mobility of higher education students and staff supported by external policy funds projects) is ranked third in terms of points achieved and sixth in terms of total funds allocated among 28 institutions that were awarded funds.
Since 2015, higher education institutions have had the opportunity to apply for Erasmus+ mobility projects, which include the exchange of students and (non)teaching staff with partner countries outside the European Union.
This academic year, the University of Dubrovnik also had a record number of exchange students (162), and the University hosted more than 50 visiting lecturers and non-teaching staff members.
The goals of KA171 activities are to increase the attractiveness of the European education system and to support European higher education institutions in the global education market. Special attention is given to cooperation with less developed countries, students from lower socio-economic backgrounds, and students with fewer opportunities.
Mobility projects include incoming and outgoing mobility, covering student mobility for studies, student mobility for traineeships, staff mobility for teaching, and staff mobility for training.
A total of 31 students from the University participated in the long-term mobility for study visits and traineeships, and by the end of this academic year, 26 students will participate in short-term mobilities, along with more than 40 outgoing staff mobilities.
Details of the Call are available on the website of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes.
