Životopis:
Mateo Miguel Kodrič Kesovia rođen je 2. ožujka 1987. godine u Dubrovniku. Oženjen i otac troje djece.
Godine 2006. upisuje preddiplomski studij restauracije i konzervacije na Sveučilištu u Dubrovniku, na kojem 2012. završava i diplomski studij – u užoj specijalizaciji konzervacije-restauracije tekstila. Tijekom studija provodi određeno vrijeme i u inozemstvu, na Instituto per l'Arte e il Restauro Palazzo Spinelli u Firenci, te putem Erasmus programa na Institut für Konservierung und Restaurierung - Universität für die Angewandte Kunst u Beču.
Od rujna 2013. zaposlen je kao asistent na Odjelu za umjetnost i restauraciju Sveučilišta u Dubrovniku, a 2021. godine stječe umjetničko-nastavno zvanje docenta u umjetničkom području. Od 2022. uključen je kao gostujući nastavnik u realizaciji i izvođenju kolegija na Interdisciplinarnom studijskom programu Konzervacija i restauracija na Fakultetu likovnih umjetnosti Univerziteta Crne Gore u Cetinje.
Poslijediplomski doktorski studij Tekstilna znanost i tehnologija upisuje 2014. godine na Tekstilno-tehnološkom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Godine 2016. usavršava se u području konzervacije-restauracije tekstila na uglednom institutu Abegg Stiftung u Riggisbergu, Švicarskoj, gdje sudjeluje u provedbi nekoliko međunarodnih projekata restauracije.
Dugogodišnje iskustvo rada na brojnim domaćim i međunarodnim projektima konzervacije-restauracije, temeljem kojih je stekao stručno zvanje konzervatora-restauratora za užu specijalnost predmeta od tekstila i/ili kože. Redovito objavljuje stručne i znanstvene radove, te prisustvuje na tečajevima i konferencijama.
Sudjeluje u radu nekoliko povjerenstava i radnih skupina (Povjerenstvo za Strategiju ljudskih resursa za istraživače na Sveučilištu u Dubrovniku, HRS4R Award Excellence in Research; Povjerenstvo za unutarnji sustav osiguravanja i unapređivanja kvalitete na Sveučilištu u Dubrovniku; Hrvatska mreža jedinica za osiguravanje kvalitete CroQAnet), a od 2022. godine obnaša funkciju člana nadzornog odbora Hrvatskog restauratorskog društva. Od travnja 2025. predstavnik je Odjela za umjetnost i restauraciju u međunarodnoj organizaciji ENCoRE.
Njegovi znanstveni interesi uključuju različite aspekte konzervacije-restauracije tekstila (poglavito bojenje tekstila, razvijanje metoda montaže kostima i izlaganja plošnih tekstila, itd.), kao i interdisciplinarna istraživanja u području povijesti tekstilne tehnologije, tehničke analize konstrukcijskih parametara, te razvoja metode virtualne rekonstrukcije, reprodukcije i digitalizacije povijesnog tekstila.
Govori tečno engleski i njemački, uz dobro razumijevanje španjolskog i talijanskog jezika.

Biography/CV:
Mateo Miguel Kodrič Kesovia was born on March 2, 1987 in Dubrovnik. Married and father of three children.
In 2006, he enrolled in the undergraduate study of restoration and conservation at the University of Dubrovnik, where he completed his graduate study in 2012 – with a narrow specialization in textile conservation-restoration. During his studies, he spent some time abroad, at the Instituto per l'Arte e il Restauro Palazzo Spinelli in Florence, and through the Erasmus program at the Institut für Konservierung und Restaurierung - Universität für die Angewandte Kunst in Vienna.
Since September 2013, he has been employed as an assistant at the Department of Art and Restoration of the University of Dubrovnik, and in 2021 he will acquire the teaching title of assistant professor in the field of art. Since 2022, he has been involved as a guest lecturer in the implementation and delivery of courses at the Interdisciplinary Study Program Conservation and Restoration at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Montenegro in Cetinje.
He enrolled in the postgraduate doctoral study program Textile Science and Technology in 2014 at the Faculty of Textile Technology, University of Zagreb. In 2016, he completed his advanced training in the field of textile conservation-restoration at the renowned Abegg Stiftung Institute in Riggisberg, Switzerland, where he participated in the implementation of several international restoration projects.
Many years of experience working on numerous domestic and international conservation-restoration projects, based on which he acquired the professional title of conservator-restorer for the narrow specialty of textile and/or leather objects. He regularly publishes professional and scientific papers, and attends courses and conferences.
He participates in the work of several committees and working groups (Committee for the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers at the University of Dubrovnik, HRS4R Award Excellence in Research; Committee for the Internal Quality Assurance and Improvement System at the University of Dubrovnik; Croatian Network of Quality Assurance Units CroQAnet), and since 2022 he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Croatian Restoration Society. Since April 2025, he has been the representative for the Department of Art and Restoration within the international organization ENCoRE.
His scientific interests include various aspects of textile conservation-restoration (especially textile dyeing, developing methods for mounting costumes and flat textiles, etc.), as well as interdisciplinary research in the field of the history of textile technology, technical analysis of construction parameters, and the development of methods for virtual reconstruction, reproduction and digitization of historical textiles.
He is fluent in English and German, with a good understanding of Spanish and Italian.
