    ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

    Based on an Agreement between the University of Dubrovnik and the prestigious University of Palermo, Double Degree university graduate programmes have been established between the graduate studies of the Department of Economics and Business Economics of the University in Dubrovnik, i.e. Economics, Business Economics with specialisation in Marketing, and Business Economics and with specialisation in Tourism on the one hand, and graduate studies of the University of Palermo – Laurea Magistrale in Scienze Economiche e Finanziare, Laura Magistrale in Scienze Economico Aziendali, and Tourism Systems and Hospitality Management in Italy, on the other. This Agreement enables the students who spend one semester at the partner institution and pass all exams from a list that has been aligned between the two universities to earn a degree from both the University of Dubrovnik and the University of Palermo, achieving thereby a competitive advantage on the European labour market.

  • CONDITIONS FOR ENROLMENT

    CONDITIONS FOR ENROLMENT

    The selection of the candidates will be done based on their academic success, motivation and the level of their knowledge of the English language. Students selected for enrolment in Double Degree study programmes must have a sufficient knowledge of the English language, about which they need to enclose an official certificate.
    If they do not have the certificate about the knowledge of the English language, a language exam will be carried out at the University Centre for Languages.
    By enrolling a Double Degree graduate programme, students are obliged to spend one semester at the partner institution, i.e. the University of Palermo, Italy. During their stay at the University of Palermo, students must abide by all rules and regulations of the partner institution.

    By enrolling a Double Degree graduate programme, students are obliged to complete their study within 3 years so that they can be awarded the internationally recognised degree from both the University of Dubrovnik and the University of Palermo.

    APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION

    Any person who has completed an appropriate undergraduate or graduate programme may apply for a Double Degree graduate programme.

  • SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION

    SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION

    Full-time students who are Croatian nationals and who have enrolled the first year of the graduate programme for the first time do not pay any tuition. During their stay at the partner university abroad, students of the University of Dubrovnik are exempt from the payment of the tuition, but they may be requested to pay a fee for the services that are normally charged to the students of the receiving university (photocopying, insurance and similar). Travelling, health insurance, housing and all other costs incurred during their stay at the partner university abroad are borne by the student. Students enrolled at a Double Degree graduate programme may apply for Erasmus+ call for students – activity of studying abroad – and they can thus have their stay at the partner university co-financed. Students are to apply to Erasmus+ call under the same conditions as the rest of the students of the University of Dubrovnik, in accordance with the available funds.

Classes at our programme are taught by our professors, by visiting professors as well as by renowned experts from practice who know how to recognise talents, understand professional goals of students and help them realize these goals. Our computer labs are equipped with a state-of-the-art technology. Studying at this Department comes with an additional benefit, i.e. the participation in the ERASMUS mobility programme. This programme enables students to study during one semester or during the whole year at a partner university abroad. Our cooperation with various enterprises, Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the City of Dubrovnik ensures students the opportunity for gaining practical knowledges and for doing their professional practice.
