The University of Dubrovnik once again participated in Dubrovnik EXPO 2025, an event dedicated to cross-sector collaboration in education, aimed at young people from the region.
The event took place on March 20 and 21 at the Dubrovnik Student Dormitory, where more than 3500 high school graduates and other visitors had the opportunity to learn about study programs offered by the University’s Faculties and Departments.
The official opening ceremony gathered numerous attendees, representatives of national and European institutions, business professionals and other interested guests. The participants were welcomed by Marko Žmirak, President of the Dubrovnik Youth career Center, Željana Zovko, member of the European Parliament, Dijana Mandić, from the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth, Marko Potrebica, President of the Dubrovnik City Council and Prof Nebojša Stojčić, PhD, Rector of the University of Dubrovnik.
The program was designed with a strong focus on helping young people, particularly high school graduates, explore their educational and career prospects. It featured a diverse selection of panels, lectures, and workshops, providing valuable insights into university enrollment, professional development, and the job market. A special emphasis was placed on the employers’ zone, where young attendees could connect with local and international companies and explore opportunities for seasonal jobs and internships.
