
The 4th International Maritime Conference Our Sea 2025 – Sustainable, Green and Resilient Maritime Industry was held at the Student Dormitory of the University of Dubrovnik on 18–19 September 2025. The conference brought together 70 participants from Croatia, the United States, Scotland, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, India, Montenegro, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Albania, Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, the Philippines and China, creating an inspiring platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and visions on the future of the maritime industry.
Over the two-day programme, discussions addressed a wide range of current topics, including maritime education and training, safety and cybersecurity, the welfare and resilience of seafarers, environmental protection, sustainable development and innovation, as well as trends in nautical tourism and seaports, maritime logistics, management and law, shipbuilding, marine engineering, and autonomous vessels and related technologies. Special attention was also given to English for specific purposes in the maritime sector.
The conference once again highlighted the importance of Dubrovnik and the University of Dubrovnik as a meeting point for scientists, experts and policymakers from around the world who jointly reflect on the challenges and opportunities of building a sustainable, green and resilient maritime industry.
Faculty of Maritime studies expressed its gratitude to all speakers, participants and partners for their contribution to the successful organisation of the conference and looks forward to the next edition.
