Orientation Day Held for 50 Students from 14 Countries

The winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year brings 50 exchange students from 14 countries to the University of Dubrovnik. To welcome them, the University held its traditional Orientation Day on campus on 1 October.

Most students arrive from Spain, Poland and Germany, with nine staying for the full academic year. Alongside European students, the University also hosts students from the USA and Brazil through the API programe and other mobility schemes.

Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Public Relations and Student Affairs, Professor Mato Brautović, PhD, welcomed the students and emphasised the University’s support throughout their stay.

Nikolina Potrebica, Head of the Department for International Students, together with Maria Pendo and Anamarija Lučić, Professional Associates at the Department for International Cooperation and Mobility, provided practical information about life in Dubrovnik and studying at the University, covering administrative procedures, student services and tips for settling into their new environment.

Assoc. Professor Saša Selmanović, PhD, President of the University Sports Association, presented sports activities and opportunities to join various competitions. Students also got acquainted with UNIDU TV and UNIDU Radio. The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) will support social activities throughout the year, helping students connect, experience different cultures and integrate into student life in Dubrovnik.
