Second International Meeting of the Erasmus+ Project RestReef Held at the University of Dubrovnik

The second international meeting of partners within the Erasmus+ project Educational Platform for Ecological Restoration Techniques with Artificial Reefs in Natura 2000 Sites (RestReef) was held at the University of Dubrovnik on 10 and 11 November 2025.

During the two-day meeting, partners from Portugal and Spain, together with colleagues from the Department of Applied Ecology, defined plans and activities for the development of a joint course focused on ecological restoration techniques using artificial reefs. The course will provide students and professionals with knowledge and skills in marine ecosystem conservation, emphasizing sustainable resource management within Natura 2000 sites.

The dates for applications and participation requirements will be announced soon.

On the second day of the meeting, the partners visited the Mariculture Laboratory in Bistrina, where they learned about ongoing research and practices in shellfish farming and exchanged experiences on the application of innovative methods in marine ecology.
