Students from the undergraduate program in International Hospitality Management at UCL University College in Denmark, accompanied by Professor Morten Christensen, visited the Faculty of Media and Public Relations on October 22 as part of their study visit to the University of Dubrovnik.
Teaching assistant Ivana Hladilo introduced them to the work of the Faculty and its study programs. The students learned more about the Adria Digital Media Observatory and eDUres-MIL projects, which develop media literacy programs for the wider community and work internationally to counter disinformation. Hladilo also presented the student initiatives Academic Inclusion and the PEP Conference, highlighting the importance of getting involved during one’s studies.
The Danish students also visited the University’s Media Center. In the UNIDU TV studio, they learned how programming is produced and how the station has developed over the past few years. UNIDU TV Executive Producer Ante Tolja showed them what the studio offers for program production, while at UNIDU Radio, Editor-in-Chief Alen Roki described the station’s daily routine, the students’ tasks, and the activities the newsroom regularly takes part in.
The students had many questions about student life in Dubrovnik and career opportunities in the field.
The visit is a part of the Faculty’s long-standing partnership with UCL University College, which also hosted students from the Faculty in May.
