Université Le Havre Normandie (ULHN), in partnership with two EUNICoast member universities — West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (ZUT) and Stralsund University of Applied Sciences (HOST) — is organising the first EUNICoast International Summer School “Ports of the Future”. Building on ULHN’s experience hosting previous editions, this programme marks a new chapter as the first Summer School to be held under the EUNICoast alliance, bringing together undergraduate students from across the network to explore the future of port cities through interdisciplinary, hands-on learning.
The Summer School, organised in Le Havre under an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) format, benefits from funding through the strategic partnership led by the Campus Polytechnique des Territoires Maritimes et Portuaires (CPTMP), supported by the French National Research Agency (ANR) under the France 2030 programme.

Who is it for?
The Summer School welcomes 3rd year undergraduate students.
Eligible disciplines include social sciences (geography, history, law) and STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). A minimum B2 level of English proficiency (CEFR) is required.
During the week, participants will engage with lectures, professional workshops, a port visit, and cultural activities, all in an international, multilingual environment.
What will students gain?
The programme awards 3 ECTS credits upon successful completion of all components, subject to validation by the student’s home university. It is compatible with the Erasmus+ mobility scheme.
Students will develop skills in transdisciplinary problem-solving, sustainability literacy, intercultural collaboration, and the communication of complex research, grounded in the real-world context of one of Europe’s leading port cities.

The nomination deadline is 29 April 2026 till 12 pm. Places are limited and acceptance is not guaranteed; all nominated candidates are subject to a final selection process by ULHN.
