The Maritime Department of the University of Dubrovnik participated for the first time as a co-organiser in the Student International Scientific Conference, which was held this year for the sixth year in a row.

The main organisers of the conference were International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) and the Batumi Navigation Teaching University (BNTI).

The conference was held via Zoom, with more than 100 students from numerous maritime universities participating. A total of 53 papers were submitted.

Antonela Đuraš, first year student of the graduate study programme in Maritime Studies took an active part in the conference and presented her paper ‘Cruise ship inspections with a focus on USPH standards’. This paper was a result of a research carried out within her undergraduate thesis at the undergraduate study in Marine Navigation.
