The Adriatic Digital Media Observatory – ADMO 2.0 has entered a new implementation phase with a kick-off meeting held at the University of Dubrovnik, bringing together representatives of nine partner organizations from Croatia, Slovenia, and France.
The meeting took place on 21 October 2025 and gathered 23 participants from partner institutions who discussed planned activities, implementation timelines, and future joint initiatives.
The project, which officially started on 1 September 2025, is coordinated by the University of Dubrovnik as the lead partner, together with eight partners: the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb, Gong, RTL Croatia, Presscut d.o.o., the University of Ljubljana, Oštro Slovenia, Agence France-Presse (AFP), and XWiki.
Within the project framework, a total of 300 fact-checks will be carried out in three languages (English, Croatian, and Slovenian). In addition, 28 media literacy training sessions will be organized for teachers, journalism students, citizens, and children, along with approximately 20 research studies focusing on disinformation campaigns in Croatia and Slovenia.
ADMO 2.0 brings together researchers, journalists, fact-checkers, media experts, and civil society organizations with the aim of promoting media literacy, countering harmful disinformation, and strengthening democratic and informed societies.
By launching this project, the University of Dubrovnik further reinforces its leading role in advancing regional and European cooperation in the fields of media, the digital society, and the application of artificial intelligence in combating disinformation.
