
Dubrovnik will host the prestigious IEEE International Symposium on Systems Engineering (IEEE-ISSE) from 22 to 24 September 2026. Following Paris, which served as the host city in 2025, this important conference is moving to Croatia, with the event jointly organised by the Faculty of Economics & Business of the University of Zagreb and the University of Dubrovnik.
IEEE-ISSE brings together researchers, professionals, managers and members of the academic community in the field of systems engineering, creating an interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of knowledge, best practices and research results related to complex systems and systems-of-systems.
A representative of the European Research Council (ERC) will also take part in the conference, providing participants with information and guidance related to ERC project applications.

Accepted papers will be published on the IEEE platform and indexed in the Web of Science.
The conference topics cover a wide range of areas, including systems architectures, systems-of-systems, reliability and safety, agile methodologies, MBSE/MBSA, modelling and simulation, digital twins, artificial intelligence in systems engineering, smart cities, technology management and many other related fields.
The programme will also feature the Meet the Editors and Meet the representative of the European Research Council panels, including time reserved for participant questions.
