On Tuesday, April 28, the University of Dubrovnik hosted a presentation of the EDU-Home project in the Student Dormitory hall. The project is focused on developing a digital platform that connects international students and university staff with verified private accommodation providers.
This project responds to the continuous growth of international mobility at the University of Dubrovnik, where more than 160 international students are currently staying during this academic year, while nearly 100 members of international academic and administrative staff have participated in teaching and professional exchanges.
The EDU-Home platform was developed to facilitate access to safe and high-quality accommodation, while also strengthening the local market by connecting it with reliable accommodation providers and related services. The platform was presented by Nikolina Potrebica, Head of the International Recruitment Office at the University of Dubrovnik, who emphasized that the project contributes to improving the overall experience of international students in Dubrovnik, as well as to a more balanced occupancy of accommodation capacities throughout the year.
The project is led by the Italian organization EDUCatt, affiliated with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Alongside the University of Dubrovnik, partners include ACRU – Association of University Residences (Italy), ISIC – International Student Identity Card Association (Denmark), Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe (Germany), and Rivensco Consulting (Cyprus).
The event gathered interested private landlords and service providers, who had the opportunity to learn more about the platform and the possibilities of becoming part of this initiative.
