In the latest global ranking released by Stanford University, which each year identifies the top 2% of the most influential scientists worldwide, Prof. Nebojša Stojčić, Rector of the University of Dubrovnik, has once again been included.
The Stanford ranking is based on a comprehensive bibliometric analysis covering a global database of more than eight million scientists across different disciplines. From this database, 2% of researchers are singled out annually for the impact and citation of their scientific work. Prof. Stojčić has been ranked among them for the second consecutive year, making him one of the top three Croatian economists on the list.
“Such recognitions are never purely individual. Behind them stand colleagues, students, and the institution. I am proud that our work in Dubrovnik has found its place within the global scientific community, and that the University of Dubrovnik is increasingly recognized for research excellence as well as its unique location”, said Prof. Stojčić.
Alongside his scientific work, Prof. Stojčić leads the doctoral program Business Economics in a Digital Environment, now in its sixth cohort, and heads the research center CREDO, which since its establishment has attracted more than 30 international competitive projects.
