Students and lecturers of the Faculty of Media and Public relations at Voices – the European festival of journalism and media literacy

Students and lecturers of the Faculty of Media and Public relations participated in the European festival of journalism and media literacy – Voices, which took place in Zagreb from February 27 to March 1. The event was organized by European professional and academic organizations under the patronage of the European Commission.

The festival brought together journalists, researchers, and experts from across Europe and provided an opportunity to showcase the Faculty’s activities and research. The program featured panel discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence in journalism, the resilience of local media, the protection of media freedoms in Europe, and the role of media in the climate crisis. Additionally, workshops were held on emotional resilience for journalists, media literacy for educators and students, and the use of artificial intelligence in media storytelling.

Undergraduate students, Karla Sabljić, Nina Grujčić, and Sara Bagić, presented the work of the Centre for digital investigations and civic resilience (Du-Check) to numerous visitors and experts. Meanwhile, the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Public relations, and Student standards, as well as the coordinator of the ADMO project, professor Mato Brautović, PhD, participated in the opening panel on the topic of sustainable fact-checking and its importance in today’s society.
