The Deans of the faculties and Heads of Departments of the University of Dubrovnik participated in the Blended Intensive Program from November 11th to November 15th, as part of the EUNICoast alliance – The European University of Islands, Ports, and Coastal Territories, at the University of the Balearic Islands in Palma de Mallorca.
During the program, 13 partners of this significant alliance presented work packages, formed working groups, and held a series of meetings during which project activities for the upcoming period were agreed upon.
Representatives from the University of Dubrovnik who participated in the Blended Intensive Program included the Dean of the Faculty of Maritime studies, Assoc. Prof. Srđan Vujičić, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Assoc. Prof. Tonći Svilokos, the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Applied computing, Asst. Prof. Anamaria Bjelopera, the Dean of the Faculty of Media and Public relations, Asst. Prof. Romana John, the Head of the Art and Restoration department, Asst. Prof. Joško Bogdanović, the Head of the Department of Applied Ecology, Assoc. Prof. Josip Mikuš, and the Head of the Laboratory for Mariculture, Assoc. Prof. Kruno Bonačić.
The EUNICoast alliance will focus on the challenges faced by European islands, coasts, and ports through research aimed at promoting a sustainable and resilient blue economy. In addition to the University of Dubrovnik, the members of the alliance are: Åland University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Burgas Free University (Bulgaria), Stralsund University of Applied Sciences (Germany), EMUNI University (Slovenia), University of the Azores (Portugal), University of the Balearic Islands (Spain), University of Patras (Greece), University of Sassari (Italy), University of the Faroe Islands (Faroe Islands), University of French West Indies (France), University of Le Havre Normandie (France), and West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (Poland).
