The student UNIDU radio of the University of Dubrovnik received a recognition for its 15th jubilee. Ivana Hladilo and Toni Jurić, students of the graduate study programme of Media, received this award at HURiN Days, held on 18 and 19 November in Sveti Martin na Muri.
About two hundred participants, representatives of local radio stations and regulatory agencies, were gathered at HURiN Days, organised by the Croatian Association of Radio Publishers. They discussed the implementation of the new Electronic Media Act, the role of private and local radio stations in the German media space, radio as a medium, the future of radio with respect to the listening polls and radio listeners habit polls, the values of radio programmes from the perspective of authors and musicians and the state of affairs in the creative and culture sector before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The partners of this event were Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries.
Let us remind you, UNIDU radio is the student radio of the University of Dubrovnik, primarily intended for practical classes in all years of the undergraduate study programme of Media and Social Culture. UNIDU radio started broadcasting shows on the internet on 20 December 2007. Three years later, it started broadcasting at 97.5 MHz for the area of the City of Dubrovnik.
