Final Event of the EDU-Home Project: University of Dubrovnik Connecting Students and Private Accommodation Providers

The University of Dubrovnik continues to record strong growth in international mobility and is increasingly positioning itself as a desirable destination for international students and university staff from around the world. During this academic year, more than 160 international students are staying in Dubrovnik through short-term, semester, and full-year mobility programmes, while the University has hosted nearly 100 members of international academic and administrative staff participating in teaching and training exchanges.

With the growing number of international students coming to the University of Dubrovnik, there is an increasing demand for private accommodation in addition to student dormitories, highlighting the need for reliable and high-quality offers on the local market.

In response to this trend, the University of Dubrovnik has participated in the international Erasmus+ project EDU-Home, led by the Italian organisation EDUCatt, affiliated with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Alongside the University of Dubrovnik, the project brings together partners from across Europe: ACRU – Association of University Residences (Italy), ISIC – International Student Identity Card Association (Denmark), Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe (Germany), and Rivensco Consulting (Cyprus).

The aim of the project was to develop a digital platform connecting international students and university staff with verified providers of private accommodation and related services, thereby facilitating access to safe and high-quality housing and reducing barriers to international mobility.

At the same time, the platform offers local accommodation providers increased visibility and more stable occupancy throughout the year.

On the occasion of the project’s completion, the University of Dubrovnik is organising a presentation of the EDU-Home platform and invites all interested accommodation providers and service providers to attend the event and be among the first to learn how to become part of this initiative.

Participation in the event is possible upon prior registration via the following link. The presentation will take place on 28 April at 1:30 PM in the small conference hall of the Student Dormitory of the University of Dubrovnik, located at Marka Marojice 2b.

The project is funded by the European Union.
