Students from the Faculty of Media and Public relations, accompanied by lecturers Marijana Musladin, Monika Cverlin, and Sandra Buratović Maštrapa, participated in a short-term professional internship as part of the Erasmus+ program at UCL University College in Odense, Denmark.
During their week in Denmark, students attended lectures and workshops and had the opportunity to tour the university campus, including the Media Lab. The internship focused on developing practical skills and gaining a deeper understanding of different communication approaches and the media industry, both in Denmark and globally. Additionally, they visited the regional TV 2 Fyn, part of the national television network, where they learned about its organizational structure and production department.
‘This experience is extremely valuable for us as future professionals in media and public relations. In addition to the theoretical and practical knowledge we acquire at the University, such internships help us develop competencies that will make us more competitive in the job market. Moreover, I learned a lot about a culture that is entirely different from ours, as well as about studying in Denmark. I really liked Denmark, especially because they provide scholarships for every student’, said student Karla Sabljić.
The lecturers also participated in professional lectures and meetings with University colleagues, exchanging experiences and best practices related to teaching, research, and the implementation of new technologies in education. Through collaboration with their Danish counterparts, they further enhanced their teaching and research approaches.
This mobility program at the Danish university, along with numerous educational and cultural activities, contributed not only to the professional but also to the personal development of all participants, allowing them to experience firsthand how the education system functions in one of Europe’s most developed countries.
The Faculty of Media and Public relations plans to continue collaborating with international partners in the future, providing students with new experiences that will enrich their professional and academic careers.
