Biography/CV:
Born in Dubrovnik in year 1970. She completed her studies in biology at the university, SUNY at Stony Brook, NY, in 1992. In year 2010, she received her PhD degree in the area of biotechnological sciences, field of agriculture and fishery branch, at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb. Employed at the University of Dubrovnik since 2002, currently holding the position of senior research associate/associate professor. Actively participates in the establishment of undergraduate and graduate study programs. Through numerous national and international research projects, she worked on the development of sea urchin hatchery production as well as introduction of new species of marine invertebrates into aquaculture. Current interests and research; biomedical potential and new materials from marine invertebrates, carotenoids from marine environment in the context of food chain.
