Representatives of the University of Dubrovnik participated in the joint WP2 and WP7 meeting within the EUNICoast project, held from 1 to 3 June 2026 at Åland University of Applied Sciences in Mariehamn, the only town on the Åland Islands.
The University of Dubrovnik was represented by Assoc. Prof. Marija Bečić, PhD, and Prof. Perica Vojinić, PhD, from the Faculty of Economics, as well as Mia Jović, expert associate on the EUNICoast project.
During the three-day programme, participants discussed key activities of the EUNICoast Alliance, with a special focus on educational models, the development of micro-credentials, the integration of European values and Sustainable Development Goals into existing curricula, and the strengthening of impact, communication and dissemination of project results.
The programme included working meetings, workshops and discussions dedicated to the development of joint educational activities, monitoring the impact of project activities, communication and dissemination plans, and the further positioning of the EUNICoast Alliance as a European university of islands, ports and coastal territories.
Special attention was given to the exchange of experiences among partner universities, strengthening cooperation and defining the next steps in the implementation of project activities. Participants also discussed ways to align common messages, develop communities of practice, organise local dissemination workshops, international conferences and an ambassadors’ programme.
By participating in the meeting, the University of Dubrovnik continued to actively contribute to the work of the EUNICoast Alliance and to the development of joint European educational, research and communication activities focused on the sustainable development of island, port and coastal territories.
