EUNICoast Launches a New Bimonthly Webinar Series on Research and Innovation in Coastal Regions

The EUNICoast consortium is launching a new initiative this December aimed at strengthening research and academic collaboration among European coastal and island universities. The bimonthly online series, titled “Connecting Research and Innovation Across Coastal Regions,” will run from December 2025 to June 2027. The first session takes place tomorrow.

The agenda of the first webinar (3 December 2025) is available in the following PDF.

This webinar series provides a dynamic platform for researchers, teachers, innovators and other experts involved in the five thematic Teaching & Research Hubs (T&R Hubs). Through keynote presentations and moderated discussions, participants will gain insights into current research directions, examples of good practice, and opportunities for joint participation in Horizon Europe and other EU funding programmes.

Each session is hosted by one of the five T&R Hubs, featuring up to five speakers who will present their projects, research priorities and ideas for future cooperation. The aim of the initiative is to foster new partnerships and further strengthen the European research network focused on the development and challenges of coastal, island and port regions.
